Course Information:
Welding I is a semester course that is designed to give students insight and practical knowledge of the welding industry. Course experience will also include the study of blueprint analysis (orthographic layout, line styles, symbols, and dimensions). Students will have the opportunity to develop skills in the SMAW and Stick welding processes, and cutting with an oxy-acetylene torch. Students will be involved in the production of projects based on given blueprints. Students may receive transcripted credit for this course from Gateway Technical College.
