We are proud to share with you the results of our faculty and leadership teams' efforts to keep college affordable and build upon every students academic and career plan, we we wouldn't be able to do this without the continued partnership from Gateway Technical College's Transcripted Credit program.
- DD Tech School had 66 student enrollments in Transcripted Credit courses earning Gateway credit and saving our students a total of $30,960.24 for the 2022-2023 school year.
- DDHS had 561 student enrollments in Transcripted Credit courses earning Gateway credit and saving our students a total of $261.656.92.
Transcripted Credit allows high school students to earn both high school and Gateway credit at the same time. Gateway's courses are taught by some of our high school faculty, using the same Gateway materials and curriculum that they would find on their campuses. Our teachers work with Gateway faculty mentors to ensure our students are meeting the same competencies and achieving academic success as the adult students on campus.
Our high school students are given the option to register for the Gateway credit (and many of them choose to do so). This process is facilitated by our teachers with support from Gateway's High School Partnerships department. Together this partnership has provided access to college for thousands of youth throughout our tri-county district.
Please help us thank our teachers for all the extra effort they provided during these challenging times for students and their families in the 2022-2023 school year.
